New TopSpots Reports

ASB's iwantahome.co.nz property information site is committed to providing home buyers with useful information and tools to help make the process of owning a home as easy as possible. As part of that commitment, ASB has commissioned Barbican Publishing to conduct a series of TopSpots reports.

The reports aim to shed new light on the lifestyle attributes and social make-up of New Zealand's towns and cities, so that home buyers have new insights into which places may be best for them.

Each month www.iwantahome.co.nz visitors are provided with exclusive access to a new TopSpots report.

The first report, released in October, set out to find New Zealand's Healthiest Places.

Other topics covered include: Most Affordable Places, Best Family Places, Most Prestigious Places, Best Retirement Places and Best Work/Life Balance Places.

The reports have been researched, compiled and written by Stephen Hart, the author of The Streetwise Homebuyer and Where to Live in Auckland.

Relevant criteria and information for each report is gathered from a diverse number of sources; towns and cities are then awarded points based upon their comparative performance against each of the component criteria.  The points are then added up to create top 10 league tables for each lifestyle category.
